The Water Blueprint for the San Joaquin Valley recently underwent a restructuring of the organization. The non-profit has two separate arms, which focus on education and advocacy.  Interested participants have volunteered to serve on the Blueprint’s Executive Committee.  We have a great group of engaged and highly knowledgeable members who have led the group over the past few years.  Our leadership understood that as we continue to grow, we would need formalization of our organizational structure.  The Executive Committee spent the past couple of months diligently discussing options for elections, board composition, and decision making processes.

We value the varying viewpoints from stakeholders throughout the region.  Hence, there are specific Board seats for water agencies, agricultural associations, local government, as well as, some at large positions.  An ad hoc Nominating Committee made recommendations recognizing the need for geographic diversity within those categories, too.  Representing the San Joaquin Valley means having stakeholders from Kern, Kings, Tulare, Fresno, Madera, Merced, Stanislaus, and San Joaquin Counties at the table to resolve our water crisis.

Please visit this page for a complete list of Board members committed to serving on the Water Blueprint.

In upcoming editions, we will be highlighting each of these Board Members.
